Find out how to become a certified Agile testing expert—and why certification could help take your career to the next level.

Janet Gregory, the internationally renowned designer of ICAgile's testing track and co-author of Agile Testing and More Agile Testing: Learning Journeys for the Whole Team, will be leading a 45-minute webinar exploring the requirements needed to achieve the coveted ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile testing certification. She will be joined by three panellists: Aldo Rall from IndigoCube, Nick Zdunic from AboutAgile and Devin Hedge from Eliassen.

"Agile asks testers to develop a totally new mindset, looking beyond the identification of bugs to playing more of a team role aimed at delivering the software successfully. Agile testers have to be analytical but also highly cross-functional—and great collaborators too," says Rall. "The webinar offers a great opportunity to interact with one of the leading experts in Agile testing, in the person of Janet Gregory—a real opportunity to start the new year off on a positive note."

In the broader context, Rall points out that as Agile takes hold in the development world and starts to penetrate the business world as well, ICAgile's certification programme has a vital role to play in helping set standards and build trust in the approach. IC Agile offers certifications for each "track" within Agile—aside from Testing, other tracks include Agile Fundamentals, Management, Coaching, Value Management and Development. In this way, certification acts as an objective validation of an individual's competency, and also provides Agile professionals with a credible road map for building their skills and thus boosting their careers.

"Becoming an IC Agile Expert in Testing is a way of building the right skills as the Agile world expands," says Rall. "Achieving the ICAgile Expert Certification means a lot to me personally, as it recognizes my true skill and competence in the field—and differentiates me when it comes to obtaining work."
